Trend Micro’s Programming Competition With Total Bonus of RMB 1 Million Concluded Successfully

In the afternoon of August 26th, Trend Micro’s Programming Competition With Total Bonus of RMB 1 Million came successfully to an end. THU Concentration team from Tsinghua University won the championship. At 14:00, the awarding ceremony was synchronously held in Beijing, Nanjing and Taibei, during which, Trend Micro awarded Pre-employment Certificates to the wining competitors.

Trend Micro’s Programming Competition is a programming contest organized by Trend Micro in China for students from colleges and universities. The first competition was successfully held in 2002 and this time, the second one, was held in different locations but at the same time and with the same subject. Nearly 1,500 players of 305 teams from the China mainland took part in the competition. 10 teams were qualified for the finals after fierce competition.

Mr. Zhang Mingzheng, CEO of Trend Micro said when addressing the awarding ceremony, “This programming competition is designed to foster excellent talents. Competitors attending this year’s competition perform much better than those in the last one, fully bringing forth their creative and team-working spirits, which really makes us delighted. Besides, we have got an unexpected result, that is, these competitors have learned how to know themselves and how to face setbacks. We hope this competition can integrate humanistic ideologies and science & technology so that these participants can make improvement to be better on the road of life.”
