PICC Olympic Exhibition Project

On August 8, 2008, the 29th Olympic Games formally raised its curtain. PICC Olympic Exhibition Center designed by Haosi International was open to the public at the same time. The high-standard project with great management complexity cost the elite Haosi team more than one year to complete. From project design to construction and from operation to demolition & restoring, each detail reflects professionalism and execution force of Haosi in big projects. PICC Olympic Exhibition Center boasts novel and unique style and is difficult to construct. Facing complex construction environment, Haosi took the lead to complete the venue construction in the shortest time. The venue was in operation for up to 34 days, ranging from Olympic Games to Paralympics Games, and accommodated a total of 120,000 visitors. In addition to brand and product exhibitions, the venue also arranged a variety of interactive and splendid art performances, making PICC the most brilliant star in the sponsor exhibition zone in the Olympic Park.

On September 15, 2005, Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and PICC signed “Beijing 2008 Sponsorship Agreement of Insurance Partners” in Beijing Wanchun Garden, when PICC became a formal insurance partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

According to terms of agreements signed by Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and International Olympic Committee with the sponsors, Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee will set up Olympic reception center and exhibition zone for partners. PICC as partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympics expects to take the opportunity to demonstrate PICC strengthen to the visiting customers and domestic and overseas tourists and audience, thus further establishing and improving PICC brand image.

PICC Olympic Reception Center

In addition to the exhibition center in the Olympic Park, PICC set up a reception center in OHC area to receive VIP guests. The project construction and operation was also undertaken by Haosi International.

Olympic Reception Center is situated in northeast of National Stadium in the Olympic Park, covering an area of nearly 40,000 square meters, and is 500 meters’ waling distance away from the enterprise partner exhibition zone. The center is a site for passenger on-off and reception, which is nearest to the major venues in central Olympic Park.

Olympic Reception Center is a comparatively closed non-competition venue. It mainly serves the International Olympic Committee, the sponsoring enterprises and their guests. It is a multi-functional reception venue for sponsoring enterprises to receive guests and hold activities within the Olympic Park, only open to those with valid documentation. The Reception Center operated for 15 days and received a total of over 6,000 VIP guests.
